You’ll know you completed the course when you check My Courses and the course tile under the Completed courses tab. You’ll also see a confirmation screen the moment you pass the quiz.

How do I know if I passed?
As soon as you finish the final quiz, the course shows a completion confirmation screen. It includes:
- A clear Congratulations heading.
- A note that your completion will be sent to the Department of Licensing.
Where do I find the completion in My Courses?
If you close the completion screen or come back later, you can always check your status in My Courses:
- Sign in to the course.
- Click My Courses from the home page or the top navigation.
- Look at the Work Zone and First Responder course tile.
- If it is under the Completed courses tab, it means you finished, and the completion has been sent to DOL. The date and time appear on the tile.
What do the different course statuses mean?
My Courses can show a few different statuses depending on where you are in the course. Use this table to figure out what each one means.
| Status in My Courses | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not Started | You’re enrolled, but you haven’t opened the course yet. |
| In Progress | You’ve started one or more lessons. Look for the next lesson without a checkmark. |
| Quiz and Conclusion locked | You must finish every lesson before the Quiz and Conclusion will be unlocked. |
| Completed | You’ve finished the course and passed the quiz. Your completion has been sent to DOL. |
How do I save a copy for my records?
DOL doesn’t need a printed certificate — your driver record is the official proof of completion. But if you’d like to keep a copy for yourself, here’s how to capture one.
On a computer
- From the completion screen or your My Courses page, press Ctrl + P on Windows or Cmd + P on Mac.
- Choose Save as PDF as the destination, then save the file somewhere easy to find.
On a phone or tablet
- iPhone or iPad: take a screenshot by pressing the side button and the volume-up button at the same time.
- Android phones: take a screenshot by pressing the power and volume-down buttons at the same time.
What if I don’t see the completed course?
If you do not see a completed course:
- Refresh My Courses. The page may not have updated yet.
- If you haven’t finished the Quiz yet, your status will show In Progress instead of Completed.
